John Fareed, Principal of John Fareed Hospitality Consulting LLC, participated on a panel titled “Hospitality Business: The 30,000 Foot Overview of Hotel Deal Structure.” Attendees heard from the world’s leading consultants on how hospitality deals come together and are structured. From the initial contact of a land owner, the broker, the investors and asset managers, to the role of the lender, types of debt, the brands and the marketing, and provided a cheat sheet of key terms [from Cap Rates to REVPAR]. This all ISHC-member panel took attendees through the critical, often behind the scenes, decisions that affect everyone working in the hospitality industry today. The panel was moderated by Stephen Galbreath, Vice President, RTKL [President of ISHC] and included Amy Jakubowski, Partner, BBG-BBGM; Chad Sorensen, Principal, Warnick & Company; and Matt Arrants, Managing Director, Pinnacle Advisory Group.
